The weather is pretty good on South Padre, pretty much year round. Our seasons change little. But, that doesnt make life here uninteresting. In fact, things are constantly changing. Our tourist season varies greatly. With each tourist season comes a new round of visitors and new activities.
With the coming of spring many of our winter texan guests head back north. They generally stay through february and some into March. But, eventually they pack up their shorts, put their sweaters back on and venture back to Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
But, it wont be quiet on the island for long. Mid-March will be busy with spring breakers and families enjoying Easter week from all over Texas. South Padre Island is a great place for everyone with a spring holiday. College kids are not the only ones finding their way to our little island. Many families discover that some properties are "reserved" for families only and they enjoy a pleasant stay away from the party.
For those of us who live on South Padre. Its always pleasant to see the changing of the "tourist seasons". Life is never boring when the changing tides of visitors arrive all year.
