Fireworks on the Beach
If you are on the hunt for fireworks this Labor Day weekend then you won’t want to miss this display. Located at 6900 Padre Blvd is where you and your family can head for some nighttime fireworks. On August 31st at 9:15-9:30 pm see the fireworks while enjoying some quality time on the beach. This is at Clayton’s Beach Bar and Event Venue so while you are there grab you a drink and enjoy your time.
Attend Surf Day Camp
If you have ever wanted to learn to surf, now is time! Fun for all ages, attending the South Padre Surf Co. Surf School, is where you can learn to surf. From 9 am – 12 pm on August 31st & Sept. 1st, you and your family can get in the groove of surfing for fun. Make this an activity that will have you enjoying the surf and waves in no time. Also, if you’d like to have your picture taken the whole day it’s an additional $10 but we think that’s worth it for the memories. The cost of the camp is $90 per person but for a lifetime event that will make you feel happy we think it’s worth it. Don’t miss out on the fun for the whole family to do. Art is Fun for Everyone
If you like to paint or you’d consider yourself artistic, then maybe heading over to Art Space on September 1st from 10 am to 2 pm is what you need. From painting, knitting, weaving or whatever art you’d like to do you are welcome. Please not that you must bring your own supplies for this but you can have fun with everyone in your family. There is a $10 per person charge to do for 2 hours but if it happens to be raining what a great opportunity to take advantage of this. Labor Day Bayside Fireworks
And if you are wanting to help close out the weekend with some more fireworks this display is for you. Located at 2305 Laguna Blvd, South Padre Island, TX you will get to enjoy some fireworks over the bay. If you want to be a little more adventurous then you should see the fireworks from a kayak or a Stand-Up Paddle board. What a better way to end a great weekend then to do this. Be sure to book your kayaks or paddle boards early as they book up quickly for the weekends.
Hit the Beach
And before heading home on Monday, September 3rd head to the beach for some quality time with the family. Sit on the beach with a chair, book and a cold drink in your hand just to soak up those rays. Enjoy the kids playing in the water or building sandcastles for the day. Be sure though to pack plenty of sunscreen as it is still hot in the Texas sun. Looking for a quick stroll on the beach or collecting seashells with the kids, is just what every family is looking to do. Don’t let this vacation end without going to the beach!
