32nd Annual Sandcastle Days
Does your family love to build sandcastles when you go on vacation to the beach? You’re in luck because on October 4th to 6th will be the 32nd Annual Sandcastle Days. This event is a way to see many of the local residents put on a show for you with their sand sculptors. This event is free to attend, and you will be able to see some of the best sand sculpting around the State of Texas. Your family will also be able to enjoy live music, food, art vendors and more. Don’t miss this fun event as you enjoy South Padre Island!
SPI Fishing Days
For many families who vacation on South Padre Island, they like to take advantage of the great fishing conditions. Fishing off a pier or from a boat, they will get their fair share of fun in the sun. On October 19th & 20th bring the family out to the South Padre Island Convention Center for the Fishing Days Expo. Fishing a great sport to do here on the island it can be done year-round. Admission for the expo is $5 per person including kids 12 & under and the kids’ admission will come with a kids catch tank fishing pass. From seeing new fishing gear, demonstrations and boats, there is something for everyone. Spend the day at the expo as you explore the wonderful world of fishing on SPI!
Trick or Treat with the Sea Turtles
Come and spend Halloween on South Padre Island as you explore the fun events going on. Head over to Sea Turtle Inc and spend some time with the sea turtles. Not only will you and your family get to trick or treat but they will also have the chance to win prizes and enjoy snacks. Admission is $5 for adults, Seniors & Military and $4 for kids (5-17). This is an event that many locals love to take their kids to because they also get to learn about the turtles. Don’t miss this one with the family while you are vacationing on South Padre Island!
